Vision

The House of Prayer will be a place where ordinary people will learn to live life abundantly by learning to live life with God.

Purpose

Love, Know, Love

Our vision is to be a church where its members live their lives abundantly.  Living an abundant life requires a believer to walk with God.  Waking with God requires a believer to love God, know God, and love with God.

To “Love” God, we must walk in faith…Hebrews 11:6(NIV), “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

To “Know” God, we must develop a desire for learning and listening intently…Matthew 11;29-30(NIV), “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

To “Love With” God, we must actively serve our chruch, our community, and the world…John 13:34-35(NIV), “A new command I give you; Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Values

Truth – Truth is not relative. The truth for every situation is in the Word of God

Love – Bears all things; Believes all things; Hopes all things; Endures all things.

Give – As sowers, we determine our own harvest.  Each day we should ask ourselves, “What have I given today of my time and resources?”  The answer should never be, “Nothing!”

Family – The family is the first training ground for spiritual growth and development. We must do all we can to protect and strengthen the family structure.

Responsibility – As members of the body of Christ we are responsible for each other. You are not alone at The House of Prayer.

Evangelism – Evangelism is the heart of the Gospel and the heartbeat of the Gospel Church. Go!
